Occasionally, I will need extra help with my workshops/seminars which I will perform no more than once or twice per month. This will require availability on at least 1 weeknight (maybe 2) per month (starting in January) from 5pm to 7pm but no later thanňpm. I would prefer an individual that has phone experience or can demonstrate a good phone presence. It would also be nice if the candidate understands the insurance/annuity/financial services industry or is working on a major similar to this industry. This is a preference and not a requirement.
This intern position will be on a part-time basis (10-25 hours per week) for the standard period of time and should be eligible for college credit as long as we can coordinate with your school. It could lead to a full-time position depending on the candidate's performance. This will also be a PAID position (on an hourly basis) - we will work out the details later.
Mandatory Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, with the normal understanding of office technology (printers, scanners, faxes, etc). Outgoing personality (not shy), capable of learning fast, comfortable taking directions, coachable, and able to send emails that contain no grammatical or spelling mistakes. I use Apple Products and PC quite a bit so experience with both would be great - not required though.
My biggest requirement is this: The qualified candidate must be perfect at keeping track of what they say they will when speaking with a client. I am very laid back but am a stickler for this. For instance, if you were to tell a client or prospect that you will call them back tomorrow, you will need to call them back tomorrow because you said that you would do so -- no exceptions here. I am a firm believer in doing what you say you will do.
