Retention
• Develop and execute activities within the firm to increase retention, including firm wide events, special games/in-office fun, and departmental functions.
• Serve as a resource in people-related change management consulting, communications, training and other organizational effectiveness consulting and support.
• Responsible for coaching of lower-level employees, when approached by employees for guidance. Communicate issues timely and appropriately to management when problems arise.
• Monitor progress of new employees at 30 days to insure that they are acclimating to the firm's culture and environment. Meet with employee's manager with feedback, if necessary.
Analytical and Decision Making
• Work closely with professionals and build relationships to develop and drive strategy.
• Act independently by managing appropriate budgets and activities.
• Maintain relationships with outside stakeholders and responsive telephone and email communication follow-up.
• Notify firm leadership, as appropriate, of any issues or concerns both internally (culture, employee relations, policies and practices) and externally (changes in market conditions)
Administrative & Other (misc. and office admin.)
• Punctually enters time and expenses to support efficient operational processes.
• Maintain appropriate compliance with all Firm policies and procedures.
• Build relationships and maintain consistent communication with all staff levels in the firm.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent work experience with approximately 5-8 years in a generalist capacity.
• Professional services experience required
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to operate office equipment (fax machine, telephone skills, calculator, copier, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills including effective writing and speaking skills as well as flexibility to accommodate different personalities and professional work styles.
• Ability to work independently combined with strong project management skills and the ability to organize work and projects prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to complete work in an efficient and accurate manner.
